Behind the Scenes: Shipping
We package our plants with care to ensure they arrive safe and healthy.
Take a look at our packaging process:
Root Protection
The plant and potting medium are secured to avoid root disturbance during shipping.
Wrapped
The plant is then wrapped in packing paper and bubble wrap or packing foam to protect it and keep it secure inside the box.
During warm weather, we may omit the bubble wrap/foam to allow for more air flow.
Added Protection
Depending on the weather, the plant is then wrapped in either corrugated cardboard (warm weather) or in insulated mylar bubble wrap (cold weather).
Into the Box
The fully wrapped plant is then placed into the box and cushioned with shredded paper.
During very cold weather, the inside of the box will be lined with insulated mylar bubble wrap as well.
This box is packed with a heat pack separated from the plant to heat damage.
Finishing Touches
The top of the wrapped plant is cushioned and the aesthetic branded touches are added for an elevated unboxing experience.
Inspection
Plants are inspected a final time before packaging to ensure they are ready for shipping.
Secured & Cushioned
The plant is secured to packing paper.
The stem and foliage are cushioned with polyfill to protect from damage during shipping.
